Auto Wax: Comparative Analysis of all the options

In the tests conducted for the car waxes, it was discovered that the costlier ones do not favour much when compared with the low cost brands. It was discovered that any type of wax is good enough to give some sort of protection, but it still needs a bit of hard work to get the job done. Wipe off products and the easy to use spray-on products can save work and time, but these are rated worst in the durability tests and are very less effective at the time of cleaning. Paste and liquid waxes turn out to be relatively better as one but these need more effort to remove and apply.

Though there is advancement in the clear coats, which are used as the protective layer of paints for cars, there is no improvement in the shine on any vehicle that is bought newly. But, later the road debris, acid rain, sun light and some other factors take charge on car’s finish. In order to take most care of the painting of the car, it is advisable to wash the car very regularly and the wax gives additional protection to the vehicle.

Most of the newly produced polishes and waxes are made using the synthetic ingredients, but there are still waxes that are made with the natural ingredients like Carnauba.

In a test conducted on 28 products that included 5 paste products, 7 spray-on wipe-off and 16 liquid waxes, it is found that the waxes made up of liquid provide the best protection and cleaning but these require more effort to apply and to remove. The waxes made up of pastes were the most commonly used waxes and are least now.
