V Series Novogo Auto GPS Review

With the V Series Navigational Systems, all you need to do is to speak your intended destination and leave the rest to the GPS unit. It can calculate the best route depending upon your choice (you can determine the fastest or the most economical one).

It can warn you of any approaching speed limits, and also update route information based on latest traffic reports. So, it can come in handy while speeding up.

Maps

Along with impeccable voice command support, the device also comes with pre-loaded North American as well as Pan European maps.

It has a 3.5 inches wide TFT LCD display, which has amazing capability to switch between 3D and 2D modes just with the click of a button. Its mini USB port allows you to establish PC connectivity and it also offers multi-language support as well.

Pricing

As far as the pricing is concerned, the V Series navigational systems cost from $300 to $500, which is quite reasonable, though they haven’t been able to dominate the market due to the presence of big guns such as Garmin Nuvi 880, Navigon 7200T, TomTom GO 930 GPS, Magellan Maestro 4250, and the likes of them.

Overall Performance

The V series Novogo GPS units have been quite satisfactory, whether you consider simple navigational features, additional stuff or its pricing. The voice recognition is excellent, and it is one of the rare GPS units in the market that has been manufactured in such a way that it can understand voice commands of non-native English speakers.

It comes with pre-loaded maps and the routing is also pretty good. There isn’t much to complaint about, but sadly the device could never pick up in the market due to its brand name (Novogo isn’t a recognised name like TomTom or Garmin).
