The free traffic feature is available in only 50 metropolitan places in the Canada and United States. It is featured with popping ads on the screen from time to time. The other GPS, Garmin Nuvi 265WT comes with wider screen in comparison to the 265T auto GPS system.

On the positive of the auto GPS, it features fast routing, mapping and satellite lock, free traffic information for life, speaks street names and it is more intuitive than the older Garmin Nuvi versions. On the negative side of the Garmin Nuvi 265T, it has small screen, free traffic alerts are not available everywhere and fewer advanced features than the pricier models. The cost of the auto GPS is under $200. This device also lacks in the features like 3D building view, lane assist and the ability to save the favorite routes.

However, if you need more advanced features like lane assist, ability to save your favorite route and 3-D view, it is necessary to spend a little more money on advanced Garmin Nuvi models such as the 765T and 800T.
