    They are also ten millimeters narrower, which will help in snow.

    Edit: I returned the thumbs down, Mark. You have no idea of the rating of the new tires. The diameter may vary. In this case, it’s only 14mm. Lowers the car about 1/4″.

    Of course, yes 10mm smaller and better for snow since the weight and friction is concentrated to a smaller area.

    If the car is only two wheel drive and you keep the same size tires on either the front or rear you will be fine. If it is awd or 4wd, you will need to have the same size tires on all four corners. The tire size difference will cause your speedometer to read inaccurately, although with such a small size change, the difference will not be large.

    They should not be used. When installing tires of a different size than fitted to the vehicle at the factory they need to maintain the same overall diameter and the same load carrying capacity. This swap does neither and therefore shouldn’t be done.
