Auto Recalls This week – Toyota & Maserati

The list for this week auto recalls include to major car manufacturers’ Toyota and Maserati reported by Reuters and chinaview.cn both recalls are only in China.

Toyota models recalled are:

“Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) is recalling 121,930 cars in China to fix a problem that could result in loss of steering control.

The 54,657 Reiz and 62,517 Crown sedans were made by Toyota’s venture with FAW Group between February 2005 and October 2006, Toyota said in a statement seen on Friday.”

Maserati affected models are the Quattroporte, GranTurismo and GranTurismo S, that were produced between Sept. 1, 2003 and July 23, 2008 total of 659 vehicles, due to flaws in the car suspension system, according to the country’s top-quality regulator.

Toyota are well know manufacturer for durability and reliability for many years, and I suspect that this set-back will have much impact on Toyota’s reputation. After all recalls are considered added stage of quality check process cycle.

As for Maserati, Italian luxury car maker, will always remain the dream car for almost all car enthusiasts.

In both cases, no accidents have been reported as a result of these recalls. Stand-by for future recalls.
