What I have is a 4r-100 transmission and convertor that came out of my 2001 Ford F-250 4x4 with a 7.3 Diesel. The transmission runs and shifts out as good or better than my new Ford reman.. The reason I replaced it was because it had developed a crack and began to leak in the rear section of the tranny(see pics), It also has the top 2 bolt hole ears broke off( I have pieces). The transmission developed a crack because of excesive vibration caused by the CV joint in the drive shaft, I had been feeling that problem for a while but found finally found the source when I removed the shaft to replace the trans. Like I said this transmisson ran and shifted flawlessly until removed, I drove it to the shop where I replaced it. I would have reused it but was not able to find a case for it. Junkyards were asking upwards of $700 for a transmission like this with a cracked case. I prefer local pick-up but if you arrange the shipping I have the means to palletize and load it.
