I have a 1992 Heritage Softtail. After washing it and riding it around the driveway, I noticed a lot of smoke near the gas tanks. After disconnecting the battery and removing the tanks etc. I noticed the plastic over a section of the throttle cables were burnt and now the throttle doesn’t work. I can’t find any origination of a fire or short..just the burnt throttle cables. I have never heard or seen this. Any suggestions?
