I took my car to one mechanic who says he replaced the pump assempbly and valve body on my Camry’s transmission. However, the Toyota dealer says that it does not appear the transmission has been out of the car or that the transmission pan has been removed. Did I get hosed by the first guy? Would a second mechanic be able to tell, by looking, that the transmission and/or transmission pan had not been removed within the last month?
