Its a scoop that is designed to ‘Catch’ and force air to the charger, if its installed correctly and connected to the throttle when you push down the throttle and the motor requires more air the three butterflies open and allow the required air to flow properly, because theres not an actual air filter the butterflies only open when air is needed to keep dirt and debris out of the charger and motor so it is very important to properly install it.
