When I engage my clutch, I can hear a relatively soft scraping sound being made – you can really only hear it when the enigine is idling. At higher speeds, the engine is louder than the scraping. It sounds like metal-on-metal scraping.
What does this mean? Is the friction material on the clutch worn out, or is the clutch unbalanced? How would this be fixed, and roughly how much would it cost?
