I am wondering if anyone can give me a definite answer to weather or not throttle body spacers adds horse power or not. I have a 98 dodge ram 5.2L fuel injected with a cold air intake and i keep getting conflicting answers if a throttle body spacer will add horse power. Some people say it will work great with a cold air intake and others say it can actually rob me of some horse power on a fuel injected engine.

I wouldn’t buy a crappy one, that might not work. If it spins the intake air and creates a vortex, that should work, and give all those gains.
No it wont only on carborated engines.
it can rob you of low end horse power and fuel mileage because those work best sometimes at higher speeds than lower speeds,i had one on my 99 model truck and took it off an gave it away for the simple fact that it made it worse rather than better,some people get good gains from them but most don’t,depending on the condition of the engine it can hurt it more than it helps it,good luck.

Modern MPI systems are optimized for best performance already, so additions would not help, but maybe hurt performance. Also, with a TBS, you can’t put on a cold air induction system without modifying the hood for clearance.
